Problem with Cache Viewer for Blackfin adsp 21535

Started by nand_in_i March 23, 2003
I am a beginner to DSP.Currently I am working on Blackfin adsp 21535
simulator. I am unable to open the Cache Viewer window for 21535. It
gives the error :

" Cache Viewing not possible in this target. "

Further it gives the message : " unable to create ActiveX plugin"

However I am able to view it for 21532.

Please help me .

Sounds like a bug. Have you reported it to ADI? Have you installed the
latest Blackfin tools patch? I believe I saw one on the ADI FTP site.

I am working on a Summit Ice PCI Emulator for Blackfin processor 21535. I have
been using Sections to map global variables and sub-routines into L1 data a/b,
and L1 code respectively. I am able to map the global variables into L1 Data A/B
but mapping the sub-routines into the L1 Code is giving the error:

"Data verification error at 0xffa00001.Expected at 0xffa000e8." I would like to
know why am i not being able to map sub-routines(sections) into the L1 code.

Hoping to receive a reply soon.

No idea. I haven't yet played with the Blackfin and an ICE. Have you asked ADI
Tech Support? Do post any answer you get back to the list.

You might try hand-entering values into that memory space with an ICE memory
window, and see if that works. It should use the same mechanism as that used
by the code downloader.

[Please don't send questions direct to me. I'll see them when they arrive on
the list. And please don't post HTML to mailing lists. It sets off the spam
detectors. Especially when you use color.]
