Hi all, I'm using VDSP++ 2.0 and have played around with the Flash Programmer that comes bundled with the EZ-Kit SHARC DSP development board. My understanding of how the flash programming works is that the Flash Programmer plug-in cooperates/communicates with a .dxe executable loaded into the DSP. Anyway, so I've got this fabricated board with another SHARC DSP that I can program easily with VDSP++; however, we are using a type of flash memory on this board that is by the same manufacturer as the one on the EZ-Kit (STMicroelectronics), but it is much bigger. Is there any way to adapt the Flash Programmer that comes with the EZ-Kit bundle to work with this slightly different flash memory? I've tried just going ahead and using the Flash Programmer to load the original .dxe executable into the processor, but it doesn't seem to flash the code correctly. Thanks. |

Yes, it is indeed possible check TAR17219 Flash Programmer API - Version 1_0.doc on ftp:\\ftp.analog.com\pub\tools\patches It will tell you what to modify in the source code for the original programmer DXE. If this doesn't help you let me know I might be able to help -----Original Message----- From: "lofipioneer" <> To: Date: Mon, 03 Nov 2003 21:24:03 -0000 Subject: [adsp] Adapting VDSP++ Flash Programmer > Hi all, > > I'm using VDSP++ 2.0 and have played around with the Flash > Programmer that comes bundled with the EZ-Kit SHARC DSP development > board.
