I think all the chapters are available from the ADI website. You do not want to use a ADSP-2101 for anything new. I would suggest using an ADSP-2186M. We manufacturer a small credit card sized module that may be useful to you. It has an ADSP-2186M, and flashed based loader (uses an RS-232 to download code, and an AC-97 codec. Unlike typical development boards, the module is designed for incorporation into production products. We will have a development kit and production boards later this month.
