problems when loading SDRAM.

Started by tesi_retina June 9, 2005
hello, i am trying to load a matrix into the SDRAM of a Tiger Sharc
TS101, using memory -> fill, but it loads completely wrong values,
without any apparent sense. does anybody know if there is any option
to set to get it right?
besides, if i load the matrix when simulating, everything works fine...

thanx everybody...

I don't know anything about the TS101 - so take this with a ton of salt:
Try to set the data type. It may be you are sending down ints and you
want floats or vice versa and the way it stores is different (this is
true on 21xxx sharcs anyway). Also check the dimensions - you may need
to change the data into a linear array first and fill serially. Not
all commands understand how to unfold a 2D matrix.

Patience, persistence, truth,
Dr. mike

hi,
check with the SDRAM timings and CAS latency value.

hi,
the problem is that i tried every data type that makes
some sense: since it is an grayscale image that i am
trying to load, with range values from 0 to 255, i
tried with char, int, hex, but nothing works...
by the way, i am not loading a matrix, but an array,
so there should be no problems from this point of
view...
which version of Visual DSP did you use??

thank you, bye... > hi,
