query on external memory size in BlackFin 536

Sir,

I have certain query about the external memory that i want to use with the
Blackfin Processor.

1).How many data and address lines are there in Blackfin536 processor?

2).Can we use more than one external memory with black fin processor?

3). What can be the maximum external memory size that can be used with Black fin
processor?

Look on page 19.  It has pin descriptions: 19 address, 16 data.

Look on page 6.  Looks like 0 to 0x20400000 can be broken up into 5
regions.

that can be used with Black fin processor?

Looks like 516Meg + 2k of boot rom.

Hi Naveen,

You can get all this info from the BF536 datasheet. However see below.

1. ADDR lines = ADDR[19:1]
   DATA lines = DATA[15:0]
2. You can use 1 external synchronous memory(SDRAM) and upto 4 external
asynchronous memories(SRAMs).
3. Max. external synchronous memory  = 512MB. [Min. external synchronous
memory = 16MB]
   Max. external asynchronous memory = 1MB(each)

Manual, all of which you can get by brownsing the
Technical Library on www.analog.com/blackfin
