vdsp 3.5 problem

Hi,

I have some difficoulties with vdsp++ 3.5 and EZ-ICE driver. When i have
installed vdsp++ 3.5 first time (some years before) everything was
working fine. But now, i dont know wht had changed but i am getting
error masseges after downloading the code to the dsp and trying to
singlestep or debug. When i am trying this with different DSP boards and
different projects it is the same, not working. With vdsp 2.0 everithing
is ok!! VDSP 3.5 on an other PC works fine, i can singlestep, everithing
is ok!! So i decided to reinstall vdsp 3.5 on my pc but doesnt help. By
now i hv resintalled xp and vdsp 2.0 and vdsp 3.5 also and getting the
same as described. 2.0 works, 3.5 not. 

I am getting dissapointed and confused. I afraid i cant get over this
problem without your help. Plz if anyone of u have an idea just let me
know. Is it possible to install a new ez-ice driver? Or updating the
EZ-ICE firmware?

Windows xp (SP1,SP2, and many updates)
after reinstalling win, persent state:
xp + sp1 only, vdsp is installed first, no drivers and updates only
ez-ice driver.

IDDE Version: 6.5.0.0 (with 6.5.0.1 the same)

Error after downloading (F7):

"EZ-ICE Driver
Fatal host applicatoins error 099
Executive_Register values are invalid when not in emulator space."
(ok)

next error:
"Fatal host applicatoins error 109
Executive_PM block read noz possible because DSP is not in emulator
space."
(ok)

Now i see the emulator is halted at the first instruction. Pressing F11,
and getting error 109 again, (ok)

After it, errors i am getting:

"Fatal firmware error 148
Packet_Firmware get packet retry limit reached without succses"
(ok)

"Stepping" is blinking on the bottom of the sreen. (i am trying to
singlestep in disassembly window)

Just clicking 'ok' when an error window appears, errno: 021, 109
etc...
endless. I have to shutdown idde from the processes. But it is common
when geting an EZ-ICE error, the error windows are never ending, dont
know why but it is a little bit bisturbing.
	

Hi,

I'd suggest not to have VDSP 2.0 and 3.5 co-living in
the same machine. Why do you need both?

Hi,

Of course VDSP 2.0 is uninstalled before the 3.5 installation. But i
tried 2.0 and 3.5 both in the same pc but i got the same. 2.0 works 3.5
dont. Later 3.5 was working fine...

I have installed the last update,
VisualDSP++3.5_16-BitApril2005Update.exe, but doesnt help at all.

Now i am trying this, VisualDSP++3.5_16-BitNovember2004Update.exe, and
after it the last update...

Hi,

I know wht was the reason what made 3.5 unwokrable with ez-ice... In
218x_hdr.asm i made a loop for generating test signals (right before
call main;) and main() was never called. Here is the code:

par of 218x_hdr.asm:

...
pulz:
	cntr = 0x1000;
	do rd until CE;
rd: 	ax0 = io(0);
	
	cntr = 0x1000;
	do wr until CE;
wr: 	io(0) = ax0;
	jump pulz;

call _main ;
...

VDSP++ 2.0 can do it, VDSP++3.5 cant.
