PC register

Started by "Rajagopal, Sridhar (Sridhar)" June 14, 2006
Hi,

Please let me know if PC register of ADSP-218x is memory mapped. if it so
what is its address.
Thanks in advance for the help

Thanks and Regards,
Sridhar
Sridhar,

The PC is not available. Neither are the loop address and subroutine
return addresses. I believe some of these registers are available via
JTAG, but that probably does not help since JTAG registers are not
memory mapped.

>From the ADSP-2100 Family User's Manual, page A-11 shows the
non-memory-mapped registers. Appendix E shows the memory mapped
registers.

The 219x does allow PC register access.

Thanks Dan Ash
I used TOPPCSTACK instruction and it seems to be sufficient for my
application
