Respected All,

I am manisha, I am persuing M.tech and doing research on Multirate DSP, In that I am interested in QMF
Design and its application using MATLAB, I read it as Perfet reconstruction filter, why is it so?.
Are there any advantages or disadvantage using this Quadrature Mirror Filter bank.

One More question?
The Frequency response of QMF looks like aliasing, why is it so,
though there is aliasing we are reconstructiong perfectly, how is it possible.

Please answer my query.

Howdy Manisha,

I did a web search on "Quadrature Mirror Filter bank" and found this:
http://www.dsprelated.com/groups/matlab/show/2747.php

which looks like a word for word copy of this question. The date on that
question was 2004, so my bet is that this is a standard homework problem.

It looks like there is a lot of info on the web, and some of it will have
references to books which you may have in a nearby library. For research,
the library is a really good place to start.

Patience, persistence, truth,
Dr. mike
