I'm new in digital signal processing.
I'm going to create a linear phase filter with filter lenght N = 512 for
audio signal
processing in Matlab. But I'm kind of confused about the the relation
between filter and fft
and ifft.
I have measured a frequency response of the dummy head. This data is the
magnitude
response at diffrent frequency points, i think I can say that the data is in a
frequency
domain, is that correct?
Also I have measured the phase response. What I'm going to do is to design
a linear phase
filter with the phase.
To create a linear phase filter the coefficients must be symmetrical around the
N/2 or zero
and the imaginary part must be complex conjugated. My question is ,what is in my
case
the real and what is the imaginary part of my measured data?
