Hi,
I'am quite new to DSP algorithm, currently I'am developing a software
to manage
communication of Pilot to Ground in a flight simulator, I have problem that the
voice from pilot is too clear, I need to make it like real radio communication
voice which include a distortion or any "un-clarity" which usually heard if
you're listening to radio voice.
my question is:
is there any dsp effect, or algorithm that i can implement to manipulate the
voice audio data to become like that?
audio effect for distorted voice over radio

Hi,
Get things worst is always simpler than the opposite.
1) Reduce the sample rate in the frequency range of AM radio or telephone, about 4-8K samples per second. To get this, you have to make a downsampler.
2) Add some noise, generated by software or recorded.
3) Generate random micro cuts.
4) Add some distortion, by means of signal clipping.

Pablo

Hi,
To what Pablo wrote, I would add implementing some bandpass filtering, say 500Hz
to 2.5kHz or 3kHz.
