Please help me, it's urgent !!!

Started by Unknown September 21, 2000
I just received my new TMS320C54x DSKplus board from vendor today.
I've managed to install my code explorer successfully. However, when
I try to run selftest.exe, I got the following error:
.
.
.
HPIC write/read successful
verifying HPIA Mode.....
HPIA Mode write/Read Successful.
Verifyig HPI Data (Increment) Mode....
Data (Increment) Mode Passed.
Verifying Data (Static) Mode.....
Data (Static) Mode Passed.
Attempting 8 bit Data I/O.....
8 bit mode is functional.
No response from Hint Interrupt signal
*** Test Failed ****

Furthermore, sometimes when I inserted the power connector into the
DC-jack, green LED is not on. I've to plug & unplug it a few times to
get the LED light on. When my LED is on & I plug in my earphone into
analog out, my LED is off again. Is my board function properly?
I need the answer ASAP so that I can inform my vendor. Thanks !

Hi. I encountered the same problem a month ago. However, my DSK is working
after I change my host PC from Pentium II to I. Feedback this to TI dsphelp
and they still have no reply.

Make sure your parallel port is configured to bi-directional. Try different
ECP & EPP settings. Hope this will help.

Good luck!

Regards,
Doreen

Make sure you have TI's latest selftest.exe. When I got
my DSK last year, I had a similar problem. It turned out that
versions <1.20 have a problem with HINT.

You can get the latest from the ti web site.
