c5410 bootloader

Started by tim.shearer October 17, 2000
Hi People

Just wondering if anybody knows if the 'C5410 is capable of bootloading from a serial EEPROM device.  I know the 'C5402 has this capability, and has an SPI compatable 4-wire interface.  I need to know if the 'C5402 is also abe to do this.

Many thanks,

See

No SPI at this point it seems, but McBSP1 is "reserved for a future
serial boot mode". According to SPRA609 it sets up the serial port(s)
"to a configuration consistent with the TI C54x standard serial port",
whatever that means. The '5410 boot ROM source code, which is
available somewhere on TI's web site, should provide more detailed
info. Regards,
