Transmit clock status bit

Started by Tim Shearer January 16, 2001
Hi people

I'm upgrading a piece of assembler code from 'C549 to 'C5402.  Small problem with the serial port...with the straightforward serial port control registers for the older device, there is a bit in the SPC register called IN1, which allows the status of the transmit bit-clock (BCLKX) to be read.  I can't find any equivalent feature in the newer chip's control registers.  Anyone have any suggestions?  It is for a function that introduces a 1 bit delay to frame-sync routine. I want to avoid having to reconfigure the BCLKX pin as a general-purpose I/O for one small function like this.

Thank you in advance,
