Re: YUHUA XDS510 USB 2.0 Emulator - CCS Troubles

Started by scia...@inwind.it August 21, 2008
Hi,
I succeed to overcome my issues, but the adopted solutions were not
really clear
The procedure I need to apply for application download is:
Load CCS -> Switch on the target board -> Connect > Disconnect ->
Manual Reset of target -> Connect.

After this sequence the device permits data download. This
double-connect sequence is not necessary when using Spectrum Digital
XDS510 USB emulator.

To overcome speed problems I need to mix CCS 3.3 and CCS 3.1 drivers
(these ones are really faster). But I'm not really sure about current
configuration.

I tried to reproduce the driver combination under a different
installation of CCS (on another disk partition) without success. Here
the application is downloadable but speed remains very low.

At last I tried also to install CCS 3.1 IDE, but 3.1 Seed drivers
don't work absolutely under CCS 3.1 (why?)

Let me know an idea of motivations (I'm interested in replying
development system!)
I hope my experience can be useful to somebody.
Regards

Simone.

Glad that you are making progress.
Are you saying that the CCS 3.1 driver is faster than the CCS 3.3 driver??
What is the name[s] of the drivers that you are talking about??
I am curious, if from windows explorer you right click on the driver
and select Properties->Version, what is the version of the CCS 3.1
driver?? And the CCS 3.3 driver??

This doesn't make sense to me. I do not know why SEED would have
different drivers for CCS 3.1 and 3.3.
