Get input.

Started by Akilan Goldking December 16, 2008
Hi helpers,

I'm a 1st year student, and having interest on TMS320C6711 DSP. I'm naive in working with DSP.
Could anybody direct me step by step approach to get inputs from optical encoders to DSP and how to set the inputs
to a variable and then how to do a simple programming to get an output from it. (what are the files am I supposed to create? add? and configure?)

Actually, my main scope is to program on the above DSP for balancing an inverted pendulum. Please, direct me how can I achieve it.

sincerely,

Akilan.T

You need to do some work.

There are 100s of optical encoders in the world.

Q1. You will need to define the interface - [a]how many inputs,
[b]what are their voltage levels, and [c]what do they mean??
Q2. You will need to describe the best way that you can how you would
propose to accomplish you purpose.
Q3. Have you completed a prerequisite C programming course??
