Which imaging daughter card do you have?
Are you saying that your project is to receive some video
then forward that video to some output
so it can be viewed on an external monitor?
Do I have a correct understanding of your project?
This may be a good place to start searching for info:
This may be a good place to get info on the 6711 DSP:
you will want to download/install the latest set of development and debug tools
for the 6711.
(compiler, linker, assembler, debugger)
Have you downloaded the document that describes your imaging daughter card?

Have you downloaded the CSL library for the 6000 series of T.I. DSPs?
Have you downloaded the CSL source code header files?
Are you going to use the BIOS or code everything yourself?
The above will seem like a LOT of reading/learning to do, but once the basics
are learned, then the rest is relatively simple.

TI had a 'kit' that packaged the DSK and video card together [I don't
remember if the DSK was 6711 or 6416]. It was called the IDK [Imaging
Development Kit] and it originally shipped with a fair amount of imaging
software including at least one functional imaging application. I think
that the IDK was a precursor [or early version] of the surveillance sw.
If you have this sw, you may hold back on upgrading - the original sw is
over 10 years old and you may have problems trying to use it with new
tools. I am pretty sure that TI has the documentation - there were a
few manuals specific to the IDK, but I doubt that they have the sw.
