Hi all, 1) The example code accompanying the PCM3003 daughtercard uses codec polling instead of EDMA or interrupt-driven processing. Do you know of any way to use that daughtercard with EDMA? 2) It is stated (as a comment) in 2 example codes that the 6711DSK only has the voice output of the on-board codec connected to the CPU. Is there any way to use that with higher sampling rates? Thanks Huss |

I don't know if you solved the problem already or not - but here it goes anyway... > 1) The example code accompanying the PCM3003 > daughtercard uses codec > polling instead of EDMA or interrupt-driven > processing. Do you know > of any way to use that daughtercard with EDMA? well - I personally think that the example code accompanying the PCM3003 daughter card is useless - for example - it actually uses 24kHz sampling rate in default jumper settings - due to some strange interpretation of timings... well - if anybody wants to discuss that issue with me - feel free to e-mail me... and going back to your question - there is a BSL (Board Support Library) and some examples from one day workshop - I got it from one nice guy before and I'm willing to share it with you guys - it's all here: www.wrewers.karolin.pl/BoardSupportLibrary.zip there is an example of using the onboard codec in EDMA mode (haven't tried it though) - I guess - you could learn from it to implement similar thing for PCM3003... > 2) It is stated (as a comment) in 2 example codes > that the 6711DSK > only has the voice output of the on-board codec > connected to the > CPU. Is there any way to use that with higher > sampling rates? higher sampling rate? hm... take a look at the schematics! I don't think it's possible to run the codec with more than 8kHz (but I don't have the schematics in front of me) - just from what I remember... oh - by the way - I have both the C6711DSK and the audio daughtercard (PCM3003) - if anyone asks ;-) good luck you guys... __________________________________ |
