data values read from Codec

hi all,
 
I have been accepting data via Mcbsp0 from AD535 codec, the problem i face is that that although the signal applied to A/D converter is square pulse, the received data stored in an array does not change its value, consequently the graph plotted shows a dc pulse, where as the input is ac.
 
Any Ideas, i have varied the frequency, but ontained the same results.

The inputs to the A/D are AC coupled, so you will not see a square wave. In
fact you will not see any DC. Try a sine wave instead to see if the code is
working.
