DSP BIOS Version

Started by chibesa chilumbu September 10, 2003
Hi C6xers,

Does anyone know how to find out what version number of DSP BIOS is current
running with the installed CCS? I have just re-installed CCS version 2.20,
and the previous version was 2.20.18. When I build my project files (with
zero pre- reinstallation errors), I get a message that my cdb file version
4.90.270 is not compatible with the current version of BIOS.

Has anyone come across this (backward compatibility problem perhaps?). Any
help will be much appreciated.

Hi Chibesa,

Open your DSP/BIOS file using configuration tool and click on Help. It will show you the version number.
Else you can goto Help->DSP/BIOS Help topics and search for vers utility. That should give you enough information.
vers - Display version information for a DSP/BIOS source or library file
As for backward compatibility, I am not sure.
With Warm Regards,
Ganesh
