There is no way to feed that in a McBSP You can imagine to use only CIF/QVGA to go down to 36 Mbps which is possible but still hard to do on a McBSP, but you will need large fifos on your capture hardware to adapt between the rate. 2/ IEEE1394 / McBSP I know nothing like this but seems very silly to me. I can imagine that it could be possible to use a 1394 chip with embedded GPP such as iceLynx or more recent chips but I wouldn't use McBSP as an interface between the 2 chips. EMIF would be easier. 3/ Software Managing 1394 stack on the DSP is much more consumming than TCP/IP so it is a waste of DSP processing power. Orsys (www.orsys.de, distributed in US by Tranquair) have DSP based 1394 products. Check also Mindready, a canadian company with the largest experience in embedded 1394 (www.mindready.com) Best regards, Jean-Michel MERCIER -- dsp & imaging - www.ateme.com ATEME - 26 Burospace - 91573 BIEVRES Tel : +33 (0)1 69 35 89 73 (direct) Fax : +33 (0)1 60 19 13 95 |

Yasser,
Is there some reason that you do not want to just hang a 1394 chip off of
the B EMIF??
