64x Queries

Started by Ramya Mohan June 15, 2004
Hi,
I had a few queries regarding the C64x.

1)We are trying to implement a secondary bootloader on the 64x.We are referring to the Application Report SPRA999 , according to which , the Copy Table format can be created only using hex utility  hex6xv4.3.3 and higher. It mentions that using this utility ,the user can create the boot table using the -boot,-bootorg and -bootsection commands. We are using the hex6xv4.3.2 utility and it does not give any errors when the -boot command is issued. Is it true that the copy table can be created only using the hex6xv4.3.3 utility?

2)Does interrupt nesting occur ?If so , how do we do it?

3)We tried simulating of interrupts on CCS6xV2.2 using the Pin connect utility. But the interrupts did not get simulated.

Ramya,

Regarding your first question - it has been my experience that when a vendor specifies a minimum revision in detail [like 4.3.3], there is probably a reason.  The most likely case is that the feature was in earlier revisions, but it did not work correctly/reliably [ie bugs].

Get a hold of a 4.3.3 or newer hex6x.exe
