Duplicate symbol warning.

Started by Chikkam Rama Kishore November 1, 2001
Hey !
Often different developers give the same names either to their
variables/buffers and functions. However, the linker [c6x] does not even
print a warning message, when it encounters these "different"
variables/buffers/functions having the "same" name. Debugging such cases can
be slightly slow, without any kind of aid from the linker, and the system
poses potential dangers.

Any solution to this problem ?

[Dont tell me follow some xxxx coding style !!!!].

[i can expect the different/same variables to be initialized to solve the
problem, but what about the buffers and functions which dont have anything
like that].
