Hi,
I want to connect my rs232 mouse (converted to TTL voltages) to DSK6711, how can
I do that?
Is there any I/O in dsk6711 (in DB pins)?
what is the purpose of DB-CNTL and DB-STAT in DB slot of dsk6711 and what are
their addresses?
please help me.
thanks

To RS232 mouse owner,

You need to know that data format, speed and protocol
for the mouse. You also may need to provide a voltage
source to the mouse. If your voltages are truly TTL
[0-5v], you may also want to check the voltage
tolerances on the DSK pins that you select.

Yes. You may want to use the serial port [McBSP] to
capture the data. TI has at least one app note on the
subject.

DB_CNTL0/1 and DB_STAT0/1 are general purpose I/O
pins. The original designers of the daughtercard bus
made provisions for the use [initially, and still,
undefined] of 2 control and 2 status lines. If you
want to 'bit-bang' your mouse, these will work.
