how to connect the McBSP to multiple channels(USART and codec)?

Dear All,

I use a C6713DSK for implementing a modem.

I'd like to use the Mcbsp of TMS320C6713 as USART by using peripheral expansion connector,
but in the DSK the MCBSP is connected to AIC codec.

how to connect the McBSP to multiple channels(USART and codec)?
there is only one DX and DR in McBSP then how can it be connected to
different channels?
