too big .out files

Started by Nagy Istvan October 20, 2005
Hi!
i started programming in c, for the TMS320F2811, in ccs3.1.
i wrote a hello world (led blinking), and the .out file was 140kB.
i used the DSP281x c/c++ header files.
isn't it too big?
if i write a real big project, will it more than 128kWord?

may be u can try to join the discussion on 2000 series
the link is given below
http://www.dsprelated.com/groups/c28x/1.php

there is lesser material for 2000 series and more people joining a discussion group on that will help every one

may be u can ask this question there and get an answer

and about your question --
the out file can be much bigger and the processor can handle it
i dont know about the new ccs
the program size and what works depends also on the memory available
either ram or flash(if u r burning it to flash)

bye
