Its a production dspblok DSP module with an Analog Devices debugger module. You don't need to buy Visual DSP++ to use it, it works with the free KIT license. We will have a Blackfin version for the ADSP-BF527 shortly. Did you know that ADI has a big tools sale going on? You can get either Blackfin or SHARC versions of VDSP for about half price and you can get an ADI HP-USB ICE bundled for only $400 more (Blackfin case).
