Choice of Development Kit

Hi all, I have been using the Texas Instruments TMS...2808 DSp for nearly
two years now in relation to controlling Power Supplies. However, I am
looking to buy a new development bundle which I want to use for my own
personal use, but I'm not sure which one to get since I would like to use
one to control motors e.t.a. but also have a go at doing some image
processing. 

Can anyone recommend a multipurpose DSP from TI that would apply to me???
