Hi all,

I want to work on TI DSPs and plan to buy one of the TI's DSK.
Could someone give me advices on the various DSK sold buy TI? What is
better for video and image processing algorithms? I wonder what to
choose btwn C6416 or C6713.

Does anyone belong or use one? any info or recommendations?

Could you tell me about the daughter board ports? What are the signals
accessible by the expansion port connector for plug-in modules?

I would be pleased to received some info

Thanks,

Jerome.

You can find a bunch of information on the C6713 DSK here: http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdsdsk6713.html Regards, Robert www.gldsp.com ( modify address for return email ) www.numbersusa.com www.americanpatrol.com

Do you need the floating point features of the 6713 for these applications? The 6416 could give you really high performance with fixed point operations. Regards, JaaC

I am interested in 3D applications, as weel as image recognition and video analysis (motion detection or other), that's the reason for which I am wondering which device to select. In fact, I want to performe many different algorithm, and I am looking for the best trade-off btwn multimedia features and computing power. Have you ever tried this DSK? Is it easy to plug daughter boards in?
