Is low latency important in CFR of OFDM?

Started by fl June 9, 2009
Hi, all:
I am interested in CFR of OFDM. I find some relavant paper mentioned
low latency feature in the crest factor reduction (CFR) topic of OFDM.
I don't understand the reason. It seems to me that several hundreds of
microseconds delay is not a big issue. I don't know the specification
of WiMax of the latency. Anyone can tell me that? I appreciate to any
feedback on this. Thanks.

This is related to the feedforward or feedback loop which compensates the power amplifier for the crest factor. VLV

It will be good if you actually tell us what these "some relevant paper" is/are. My crystal ball is a little fuzzy today. Julius
