Help : Super Orthogonal Space Trellis Code

Started by ibto75 October 2, 2009
Hi all, I am trying to reproduce the result of the Super-Orgonal Spce
Trellis Code of Jafarhani using his recently introduced generator matrix
notation.
I am presently stranded in the decoding part.
The decoding is through viterbi decoder.
What i have is not decoding rightly.
Please i should appreciate it if someone one know this can be of help.

Just out of curiosity, what does 'super orthogonal' mean? 'Orthogonal' ought to be a binary term: Either two vectors are orthogonal or they are not. How does one improve on orthogonality? Rune

Is it when two functions not only fail to influenced each other, but also fail to be influenced by reality? Steve

It seems to be a new coding scheme designed by two people from Broadcom claiming a 2dB coding gain over existing designs: http://www.ece.mtu.edu/faculty/ztian/ee5535s08/3-2-SO-STTC.pdf The nomeclature seems to originate from a super set of orthogonal codes which makes the new set a non-orthogonal one but who am I to judge? -- Muzaffer Kal DSPIA INC.
