TI does not sell a single version of Code Composer Studio for all DSP families. For some reason, perhaps market competition for design wins, or to promote the new 28xx DSP parts, TI has basically been giving away CCS for the C2000 family for free with the purchase of a one year subscription. Or you can buy a complete new copy of C2000 CCS with the first year annual subscription for $495.00. Touch choice, eh? I don't know if that meets your definition of affordable price or not.
