Having used a Sony 2001D radio for about 25 years (an excellent set which which still works perfectly) I felt like getting myself one of the new DAB radios. I saw from the latest ADI adverts that a company called Sonarics Labs is using the Blackfin DSP in their digital radio modules and found from their web site that it is used in the BT Aviator DAB/FM radio. Reviews looked excellent so I ordered one yesterday and got it today. Sound quality is very good and it gets all the DAB stations, as well as the FM band. FM is processed digitally, of course; there is a noticeable delay when I have the old analogue radio on at the same time. Perhaps it ought to have a sticker on it saying "Blackfin inside"! Leon
