21020 EZ-ICE Emulator on Windows XP

Started by thomasRouze August 9, 2005
Hello,
I work actually with an ADSP-21020 dsp processor and try to connect the
EZ-ICE Emulator in a PC using Windows XP.
I am not able to connect the EZ-ICE Probe to the 21020 processor, as the
ISA bus used by the EZ-ICE board is not well configured.
Le message d'erreur que j'obtiens avec Wice020.exe Tool : "Initialisation
Failed. Error : HW Error : Can't find EZ-ICE - check base address
assignment".

How can we configure the addresses of the ISA Bus in order to communicate
with the EZ-ICE board (the default adress is : 340).

Regards,
Thomas Rouz

Not sure what version of the tools you're using (21020s are kinda old,
obsolete, and not well supported), but you should be able to set the base
address in the configurator (there was always some kind of utiliuty for
telling the tools where the emulators were). The IceTest utility usually
let you set the base address as well.
