Ouch! Try this one instead: http://groups.google.com/group/comp.soft-sys.matlab Rune

Well, you need to set it up correctly. For some reason, gogle defaults to sort the threads after the starting date of the thread. You have to actively select an option to sort them after the last posts submitted.

There are a couple of other nags as well, but as you say, given what you pay for getting access... Rune

Evidently not. He clearly didn't click "show options" before replying. Not caring about what one's options are isn't swift.

I assume "comp.soft-sys.matlab" is missing from the end of that line. When he figures out how to use groups.google, comment won't be needed. Until then, it wouldn't be helpful.

Why ought I not be? I speak sooth. I'm not an other-directed* follower. Looked up Riesman on www.amazon.com and found this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0300088655/sr=8-1/qid=1145364682/ref=sr_1_1/103-8919810-5657440?%5Fencoding=UTF8 The cover photo reminded me of a quote by Einstein: "He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice." Rune

Y'welcome. While we are at it, there was a quote by Arthur Gordon Webster that ended along the lines of "... first, last and all the time: THINK" I know I made a note of it while at my previous workplace. Can't find it now, neither in my files nor via Google, so if anyone recognizes it, I'd appreciate if they could post a link. Rune
