Hi, I have a question regarding radar/SAR and pulse variations / multifrequency signals. Are there any specific advantages of using pulse diversity in range measurments, i.e. to illuminate the same reflectors using for example two different pulses ? Or there is little to gain from that ? Any reference will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Are you speaking of frequency hopping between pulses to non-overlapping frequency bands??? If so, then the bear in mind that clutter decorrelates with different frequency bands... However, stepped frequency chirps can be employed for range resolution... Can you be more specific as to what you mean???
