Hi, After a lot of searching I've been unable to find out anything at all on the algorithms used by the better vocal harmony / pitch shifters. Can anyone point me to a useful link? Tony (remove the "_" to reply by email)
Good quality voice pitch-shift algorithms (Digitech, TC Helicon, Eventide)?

Some of these products use technology patented by IVL (http://www.ivl.com). When I learned about this I was very surprised that they hold these patents (since it's all about plain granular synthesis/sampling stuff which is rather obvious), but looks like that's how things are. You might find something about this on my web site (http://www.dspdimension.com) but I'm not sure if I cover these algorithms explicitely. --smb Tony <tony_roe@tpg.com.au> wrote in message news:<l14vd0d0fmi3u3a7vgeefn2u7fme0kdmk9@4ax.com>...> Hi, > > After a lot of searching I've been unable to find out anything at all > on the algorithms used by the better vocal harmony / pitch shifters. > Can anyone point me to a useful link? > Tony (remove the "_" to reply by email)

Thanks Stephan - even if I don't find what I was looking for, there's a ton of interesting reading there. Well done! On 28 Jun 2004 03:23:58 -0700, spam@dspdimension.com (Stephan M.
