DSP selection for GMSK modem

Started by Unomano August 10, 2006
Hello ALL,
i want to implement GMSK modem (1200-9600 bps) using DSP proscessor.
what platform should i use (Blackfin, Sharc, 21xx, 320c5000/6000
etc.)???

At those baud rates almost any modern DSP will have enough processing to do
what you need. You will probably end up deciding based on evm availability,
the tool suite, or other factors. Do you have special low power requirements
or strict cost budget?

i suppose it has to have 1 ADC, 1 DAC, simple case (NOT BGA NOR >100
leads), cost ~$10.

For a while there were DSP chips with audio codecs built in -- I don't know if you could still get them, but both TI and Analog had their base-model 16-bit fixed-point DSPs available with stereo 16-bit ADC and DAC on chip. -- Tim Wescott Wescott Design Services http://www.wescottdesign.com Posting from Google? Take a look at the TI C2000 series of DSP Controllers. .cp

can you suggest any 12bit DAC which can be connected to TMS320C2808 processor
