Auto Focuss lense/ CCTV with builtin autofocus function

Started by ymbhinder December 15, 2006
The issue is, that one of our client is using Pulnix CCTV Camera( Product
No. TMC-63.) They are currently using 12mm, CS mount lense. They have to
instal camera behind a glass wall.
When they change the position of camera the difference in thickness of
glass makes the
image blur. So they are actully looking any lense which adjusts it's
position
automatically to make the image clear. Is there any solution for this
problem or any other product known, which has this autofocuss function
builtin.
Pls tell me if any can help me out in this regard.

I don't think your problem is focus, but the surfaces of the glass not being planar. It cannot vary in thickness from place to place unless it is a wedge or it is wavy. You can bet on wavy. Either stop the lens down (which will help but not cure), or replace the glass. Yes, if your client can/will pay enough. What you need is a camera lens with adaptive optics. I seriously doubt if there is such a product for civil application under affordable price. If not, Jerry's approachs surely help and I would try to install the camera as close as possible behind the glass wall. LBB
