ofdm frame

Hi friends

I have doubt in mind. I always read about OFDM frame where in each
OFDM frame consist of 2 or 1000 or ...... OFDM symbols. Why OFDM
signal is transmitted in frame format ? Why  OFDM does not transmitted
in each OFDM symbol ?

The modulation and demodulation are usually implemented
via the Fast Fourier Transform, which operates on finite
chunks of data.  So I guess it's natural.
