The sampling frequency in 802.16Rev2/D2

Started by jia February 28, 2008
Hi, here

I don't understand the definition of the Sampling frequency in
802.16Rev2/D2

It is defined as

Fs = floor(n*BW/8000)*8000 where, n=8/7 is the sampling factor.

Q1: According to the Nyquist Sampling Theorem, the Fs should be larger
than 2 times of BW. But here, Fs is similar to BW. Why?

Q2: What is the usage of the function floor( ) ?

Thanks for your time.

the answer to your question can be had by searching the COMP.DSP postings previously..please use various keywords related to your problem and understanding and you will surely find..since i remember in COMP.DSP 2 sets of topic discussions were there on this and each went to not less than 10 messages or replies from different authors
