I'm trying to get the color bar from the current figure along with the numeric annotations along the side of the bar into a standard color image matrix in order to write the color bar--and nothing else-- to an image file (e.g., Windows BMP). Is this possible? Due to figure dimensions, the color bar may also vary by location/width/length depending on what figure is being viewed, so writing the entire figure to an image file and then cropping a fixed rectangular chunk is not an option. If the width/height and X/Y coords of the color bar could be retrieved *in pixels* for a given figure, this might be possible, but I can't figure out which object parameter this might relate to. Any ideas? Thanks, --Sean O'Malley |
