I am looking for some help understanding Average Fade Duration
of a signal. What is its significance?
Does it depend on the filter used?
Looking forward for a reply.
Thanks!

Hello,
Average fade duration is an important design parameter in a wireless
commn.system. It decides the outage probability, which is the probability
that the recd. signal instantaneous SNR goes below the threshold. Have a
look at Principles of wireless commn. by Rappaport for more details
