Simulink --- Embedded Matlab function --- frame based signal

Hi all,
I met a problem in Embedded Matlab function. It seems that this
customrized block does not support frame based signal. And according to
the manual online, it is said "Simulink frames are not supported.
However, you can use the Rate Transition block to convert frames into
vectors."
I can not understand it.
Does that mean I can not use the batch processing? So this Embedded
Matlab function is only sample based?
