WiMax NLOS Channel model

Started by friendship0918 March 23, 2010
Hi all,I am working on the WiMax Ped. B channel model. However, I have
some problems about it. I hope that someone give me some clues or
answers. I am modeling the sounding SNR in WiMax system, and I use the
channel model is following: NLOS: ITU Modified Ped.-B, 3kmph, LOS: ITU
Modified Ped.-B with K= 5dB, 3kmph. I have understood the model of LOS
type that uses the Rician channel in Matlab and how to connect channel
with K factor. However, I don't know how to build the NLOS type channel
that is related to K factor. I think NLOS should be constructed by
Rayleigh channel, but, generally, Rayleigh channel seems to be the
special case of Rician when K=0. I have some troubles with construction
NLOS Ped. B channel model. I conclude my question as follow:1. How can I
construct a NLOS channel that is related to K factor?(K=1,4,6,9,18)2. I
know that the K factor in the Rician channel is named Rician factor, but
I think NLOS is not suitable for this name because Rician channel cannot
be used in NLOS. And how can I call it? (I want to know this because I
want to do more searach and know more about its definition.)3. There is
few information about sounding SNR, could anyone provide me some link or
information about it?
Thanks
Regards,
James
