Hi all I am working on playing a AAC decoded file on the speaker side on a ADSP board. To begin with , I have simply take a PCM buffer and am trying to play it on the speaker. I am using ping -pong buffer implementation wherein I am first writing data to buffer. Then through DMA , I am transferring this data to DAC which is connected to speaker. While this buffer is being played on speake...

Hi, I'm doing a project on Voice Morphing in JAVA. I am wondering if you could help me with the concepts behind this. Voice morphing/conversion converts the words of the source speaker to be spoken with the voice of the target speaker. e.g. input: Source speaker says "Hello" input: Target speaker says "World" output: Using the voice quality of the Target Speaker, Hello is ...

Hi. I'm working on a real-time automatic acoustic feedback elimination system, much the same as other attempts documented on the web. It will fft the input signal, detect the peak corresponding to the characteristic spike in the spectrum, and filter the detected frequency with a notch/band-stop filter. I haven't decided on the exact filter I will use yet, I'm currently experimenting with FIRs in ...

Hi there. When I make interviews for radio/podcasts I put a headset microphone and a hard drive recorder on the interviewee. I'm thinking that it's quite a waste to only use only one of the two recording channels available to me. I'd like to experiment with beamforming. My plan sofar is to build a headset microphone with two microphone capsules, an inch or so apart. I'm researching dif...

Just a novice question: If I have two audio files and one is, for instance, 5min and the other is a 20s segment of the first one, how would I go about finding the starting position of the second one within the first one? I'm looking for sort of an IndexOf, InStr type of function, but for audio files. Any ideas on where to start, or if there are any COM or .NET components that would be helpful? ...

I try to get a frequency response using FFT(output)/FFT(input). My input signal is white noise. This works pretty good in low frequency. However in high frequency (next to the sampling frequency) the gain curve goes fast to infinite but it shouldn't. Moreover the phase curve is not exactly correct. It has the right form but it goes about 200 degrees too high. How should improve the results? Tha...

Hello all, I am interested in the above subject and wondered if anyone was familiar with it in terms of: - are there any good books on the topic? - is software available for this? I am considering attempting to make my own software on a modest scale but I don't want to start from zero if it's all been done. Thanks for any help, Jacques

I've been looking for a circuit schematic of a DAC using a second order delta-sigma modulator with no sucess. I was just wondering if anyone here had a transistor level schematic or anything that would help me. I've only come up upon delta-sigma modulators used in ADCs, can this same circuit be used in a DAC? For example: http://www.utdallas.edu/~hellums/docs/EE7326/Brandt1.pdf On the top of p...

Hi Sharanu, Thanks for your reply. I need some clarification. 1.for the first part i.e whether it supports AMR or not i couldn't get the exact result from the linkas the link to ACM doesn't exit 2.Regarding 2nd point i'm clear now as the RIFF AVIX will contain only the 'movi' init.so no problem while dealing with it. If the file have both ix00 and idx1 (i have files with bot...
