Hello, I have just taken up a project on Medical Image data compression and as a start i wanted to find entropy of an image in MATLAB...I have calculated dimensions of the image, ie the matrix size, but am unable to get the loop structure to find entropy of the rows and columns..using probability formula.. Can someone help me out? Thanks!

Hello everybody, I need a resource or information on how to measure the quality of a reconstructed image without having the original image. Here is the set up(wireless multimedia sensors): I have an algorithm to compress the image(encoder, image sensors) and send it to the base station for processing. But after decoding i need to measure the quality of the reconstructed image and give feedb...

Hi, I want to know the internal structure of an MPEG frame.I am doing my project on "motion detection in the compressed domain".So my first step of the project is to parse the MPEG video and get the header information.I was able to get the frames(Like which is the I frame or B frame). But as I don't know the internal structure of the frame,I am not able to proceed further. So please provide me with...

Hi all I'm working on an application that rectifies images by means of the direct linear transform (dlt). Right now, my application works with some of my images, but in other cases the resulting image is a nonsense. As in the rectification process the data are subjected to measurement and human error, Im not sure either my application isn't working properly or my data are wrong. Tha...

Hi all: I want to use the Canny edge detector for detecting horizontal edges/lines only. Is it possible to do that? Which are the most important tuning parameters to make it work best for this purpose? I want it to work consistently well for all the images. My questions may sound too easy, but I'm an audio/speech processing guy :-) Best Regards, ~Arijit
