Hi,
We are developing a new board based on TS20x, and we are adding JTAG emulator
support.
We have a number of old emulators (Summit-ICE, Apex-ICE), As well as HPPCI
ICE.
We would like to know if anybody has experience getting an old emulator to run
with a new design.
-Is it possible?
We want to be able to use BTC on HPPCI-ICE so we need the new HW-design
Older versions of EE-68 Analog Devices JTAG emulation techical
reference contain info regarding the differences in the interface between
legacy and high-speed (Newest version doesn't contain info about legacy
settings).
The differences are minor (pin 4 only?)

Leave it disconnected and you'll be fine. The software that runs the JTAG commands is all that has to change, the connections should be similar. In theory, it is supposed to run at any speed, so the slower devices should work. But they still have to send the right data to right places. Patience, persistence, truth, Dr. mike |
