Audio DSP board for subwoofer needed

Started by tipo...@hotmail.com May 21, 2008
Hi, And my apologies if this kind of question doesn't belong here.

I need AudioDSP/filter unit for active subwoofer with:
- 2 floating inputs (left and right channels, summed up in DSP)
- Adjustable HPF: 15-20 Hz / 12/24/48dB/oct
- Adjustable LPF: 40-100 Hz / 12/24/48dB/oct
- 3 independent EQ's: +/-8dB / Q=0.2-16
- Limiter
- 6 single-end outputs: same signal to all outputs (except 2,4,6 has reversed phase)
- On standalone PWB, external power supply

Where can I find it or who can make it for me? I need 20-50pcs. Or is there this kind of 'configurable' boards available from somewhere? Basically, for example dbx260 and Behringer DCX2496 has this functionality (plus many others), but I need this on standalone PWB.

Thanks, Tipo

We have a product specifically designed for this purpose. Its not yet on
our web site, but it will meet all your requirements.
It was designed specifically for crossover applications. It is SHARC
based with very high performance ADC (AKM AK5394) and AKM DACs. It
supports balanced inputs.

We also have large count systems as well.

Email or call us if you are interested.

Hi Tipo,
It would be a simple matter to create such a device using most any of
the Sigma Studio evaluation boards from Analog Devices, available from
Digikey.

The circuit you describe would be pretty simple the 'build', using
existing SigmaStudio building blocks. The bad news is that you would
have to construct/program a microcontroller to send any adjustments to
the settings, etc, or you would have to use a computer with
SigmaStudio software to configure it. The crossover frequencies, EQs,
etc., could not be otherwise changed by the user.

I like the ADAV400 for all the outputs it features. Inputs are not,
however, floating.

SigmaStudio is an amazing hardware/software combination. I'm surprised
more people don't do basic development using it.
Kind Regards,
David
