I'm performing speech recognition with the 5402 DSK equipped with AD50 codecs. I need to know how to continuously sample from the microphone port on the DSK. Could someone please provide sample code or help me out with the C functions necessary to perform this continuous sampling using Code Composer? I've seen the General Help files regarding C functions with the AD50, but I'm not sure what has to be done, or how, regarding codec power up, initiation, sample retrieval, etc. I'm in the dark! There may be some useful samples. To satifty your need for now, codec program seems good for you. If you can't find the sample program, please search it from TI FTP site, ftp.ti.com. You'll find ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/cs/c54x/dsk/1.11/codec.example/codec.zip . This is just a sample program, so it uses a polling routine to get and put sampling data. For practical use, you should use interrupt service routine for this type of application. Regards, Motohiko Shinozaki |

Hi! The examples for doing that was installed when you installed the code composer. You could also use the DSP/BIOS to configure and control your codec.
