what does mean that? ,what application is it used?

Refer to spru234 [july 2003] -available at ti.com
TMS320C6000 DSP Enhanced Direct Memory Access (EDMA) Controller Reference Guide

EDMA chaining and linking are two very powerful features. Use EDMA chaining to cause a "chain reaction" from a single event.  For example, when a single interrupt occurs, you may want to perform a DMA xfer one one channel from an I/O device and chain that xfer to another channel that will copy a processed buffer from internal memory to external memory.

Also, a note to all EDMA users.  The DSP cache has no knowledge of EDMA xfers - they can create cache coherency problems!!  The programmer must manage these [TI has at least one app note on this].
